On May 26, the Hopkins kids (Brian, Karen, Mark, and John) held a surprise 40th anniversary for their parents, Bob and Lorene. The planning went on for several weeks and was kept under wraps by all! The event was held at Carmen's Pizzeria in Evanston on a Saturday night! It was timed well with Delaney's Uncle Mark and his wife Aunt Anne's visit from California, along with Delaney's two cousins Rohan (2 1/2) and Fynn (8 months). It was great that they join in on the festivities! Bob and Lorene were definitely surprised, and a good time was had by all! Over 60 of their friends and family turned out for the event, including guests from New York, California, and Pennsylvania. Congratulations to Grandma and Grandpa Hopkins for 40 years of marriage, and here is to the next 40! And a big thanks to Melissa and Stephanie Blake, Delaney's adorable cousins who watched her for part of the night so that Mommy and Daddy could have a break!
