Christopher tried rice cereal for the first time at exactly 6 months, one week old! My little helper Maggie, who is thirteen years old, assisted me with photos. At first, he was upset about something else which is why he has tears in the first few photos. He wasn't so sure about the taste/texture at first, but as we fed him more and more he not only reached for it with his hands but almost nearly pushed himself out of his bumbo seat trying to get at it. He eagerly opened his mouth for more, and wanted to keep eating. His sister Delaney had the same reaction when she first ate food. Lila, on the other hand, did NOT like food and it took her all that summer when she was 6 and 7 months old to get used to it. When she did, there was no turning back, however! I think we can safely say that Christopher is going to take a liking to food....real quick!!
