We hadn't been to Fox Valley Mall together as a family since last summer. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing! And it had been well over a year since we tried the merry go round there! We went several times when I had just the two girls, and when Topher was real little. But it had been awhile....
So, since Daddy is out of town and the kids have been so good this week, I took them out tonight after dance lessons to CICI's pizza and the mall! It was just a fun time. They love the huge two-story, huge, light up merry go round (at the food court there. Christopher was a little leery...."just the bench, Mommy!" And it was a little high up there! Ride was fun! I also splurged and got them some cute clothes at CRAZY EIGHTS, the best kids store EVER! Clothes as cute as Gymboree, at half the price. We also did a few mall rides and played in the kiddie play area. Ended up home at 9:30 and watched Doc Martin on Netflix, which Brian introduced them to and they love. Who would have thought my kids would become British TV fans???
All in all, a fun night. Too much junk food (Mac and cheese pizza, anyone?) and we became mall rats for a few hours and we went to bed way too late....but we really did have a blast!!
The Hopkids welcome you!
Welcome to our family blog! The Hopkids are made up of our two daughters Delaney and Lila, and our son Christopher (see ages below), who keep us on our toes every day and fill our lives with joy and laughter. We are so blessed to have three happy and healthy kids, and we hope that you enjoy reading about their everyday adventures!
