We went over to our friends Dan and Amy Francis' house for New Year's Eve for dinner and appetizers, and Delaney enjoyed spending time with their 6-month old daughter Sadie. She also enjoyed chasing after their kitty cats all night! Dan made us a fantastic spaghetti and chicken dinner from his Sopranos cookbook, and Mommy enjoyed her first glass of wine in a long time. With party hats on and noisemakers in hand, the girls had a fun time! As the night wore on, everyone got sleepy and we only made it until 10:30 before heading home. However, once reaching home Delaney made it another hour, almost until 11:30~! For awhile I thought she would actually ring in the new year with us! Lila slept most of the night, but that's normal for her these days :O)
It was a fun New Year's celebration and we appreciate our fearless friends Dan and Amy for inviting a toddler and newborn over for their new year celebration!! We really look forward to spending 2008 with our two girls, and anticipate all the wonderful adventures ahead.
