Well, this photo was taken of Lila in April of 09, and it is now July 09. The expression and photo pretty much sums up Lila's feelings about taking a bath. Most of the time, either Mommy or Daddy has to get INTO the tub with the girls in order to calm her down, but even then she is dubious. As a newborn, she tolerated bathtime, but was never crazy about it. From the time she was about one, she has pretty much went on strike for baths!! Fortunately, mom and dad can override her protests, but the time spent in the bath tub is usually 10 minutes tops! We aren't sure why she is so unhappy in the bath, because it just sort of happened overnight. We just hope she grows out of this phase sooner rather than later. And Delaney doesn't affect her attitude either. Whether Delaney is in the tub with her or not, it doesn't seem to affect Lila's ill-will towards the tub! The ironic part is that last weekend, we were visiting Marcia Purze's lake cabin near Lake Michigan, and Lila LOVED being in the water. She enjoyed being swung around in the water, putting her face in the water, and just being immersed and surrounded by water. I was certain her "I HATE THE TUB" days were over, but alas, it was not meant to be......the next time she was in the tub, she exhibited the same face again (see above)! Lila, we love you and hope you grow to love bath time as much as your sister does!!!
