disney animal kingdom park june 08

During our June Florida trip, we visited three Disney parks. The first day we went to Disney Animal Kingdom, the second day we hit Epcot, and the last day we went to Magic Kingdom. Animal Kingdom was great, it's very kid friendly and the opportunity to see exotic animals on the safari trip was cool! It was hot as Hades all three days, but we managed by eating lunch in A/C restaurants at high noon, spraying each other with a bottle sprayer (at the low low Disney cost of $16!!), and drinking cold water from the water fountains rather than buying bottled water non-stop. Both girls napped during the African safari, but Lila woke up just in time to see the rhinos! We had an amazing African themed buffet at one of the restaurants for dinner, and the food was fresh and delicous and reasonably priced, at least for Disney! Thumbs up for Animal Kingdom! I took about 100 photos at each park. This collage features 16 shots from Animal Kingdom, I made a slide show for our Epcot visit (see above), and I will probably make another collage for Magic Kingdom. Soon to come! The best part about all three visits was meeting with the Disney characters in person. The long lines weren't fun, but watching Delaney confidently stride up to her favorite characters and ask for an autograph, despite being nervous and shrugging her little shoulders to show that nervousness, was priceless! She is so much braver than I was at her age! People asked if I thought the girls were too young to visit Disney.....no way! They both had a blast and even if they forget the experience, Mommy never will! And we have PLENTY of photos to remember our trip by, that's for sure!
