In late August, we met with David Mosby and family at Reza's in Chicago for dinner. Mommy and David worked together in Japan back in the day and have kept in touch ever since....thank goodness for e-mail in this case because David has lived in three different countries in the past seven years. It's hard to keep track! Along the way while serving in the foreign service, he met and married his lovely wife Elodie in Burundi, Africa, and they got married in the summer of 2002. Their oldest son Malcolm was born in Brazil in 2004 and their youngest son Matteo was born in Paris in early 2006. They were home for a few fleeting weeks in Chicago and are soon headed out on David's next assignment, in Senegal, Africa for the next two and a half years. I envy their ability to live all over the world, but sympathize with their struggles at adjusting to a new life every few years with two little boys in tow. Both Malcolm and Matteo were absolutely adorable and well-behaved boys (considering we were at the restaurant until 10:00 at night!), and Delaney enjoyed visiting with them! We enjoyed seeing David and Elodie, who always have interesting stories to regale us with about their overseas adventures. Until the next time you hit sweet home Chicago, au revoir to the Mosby Family!!!

The Hopkids welcome you!
Welcome to our family blog! The Hopkids are made up of our two daughters Delaney and Lila, and our son Christopher (see ages below), who keep us on our toes every day and fill our lives with joy and laughter. We are so blessed to have three happy and healthy kids, and we hope that you enjoy reading about their everyday adventures!
