We drove down to Peoria today to have an early Christmas with the Bremers since we'll be in San Francisco with the Hopkins for Christmas. Delaney's relatives on the Bremer side were all there, including Grandma Connie, Grandpa Warren, cousins Delaney and Kyle, Uncle James, Aunt Beth, Aunt Jenna, Aunt Jen, and Uncle Scott! Delaney was all dressed up in gold lame', looking way more sophisticated than the rest of us!
To start the day off, we went to see James play basketball for his church team the Prophets, at Bethel Lutheran in Morton. Then we went back to the house for snacks. Finally, the day culminated in opening Christmas presents in a crazy flurry of paper, bows, tissue, and ribbon. Delaney a blast flinging all the paper, and especially the bags! She got some very cool toys, and enjoyed her Blues Clues peek-a-boo book and a white teddy bear from Aunt Jenna. Once we tear everything out of its plastic later this week, she is going to have a blast with the other colorful toys, all of which were very thoughtful and sure to bring hours of fun. Oh, and did I mention how much she liked the bags???!! A few highlights in photos.....kisses from cousin Brittney, Delaney's "pigtail" Christmas bows, Grandpa Warren's pinecone "AFRO" and Delaney's fun with the Fisher Price farm set that Aunty Jen and Mommy used to play with way back in the day (circa 1975??) Delaney loved all the attention and had a smile for everyone the whole day, she is truly a ham! And, she is most definitely ready for Santa to come visit again next weekend!
